Ann Shelton

Although I find many of Ann Shelton's works to be interesting, powerful, and impressive, it is not the images themselves that I am most interested in, but rather how Shelton exhibits her work.
Rather than the traditional single image, placed on a wall in a very basic fashion, she sometimes has mirror copies placed beside each other, or above and below each other. Sometimes she places them upside down, or repeats them to varying degrees. It is this type of exhibition that I feel could be very effective within my own work, especially if I am working around the theme of surrealism, mirrors, reflections, and fantasy.
